The Rankings include 351 institutions from around the world.

In the 2019 edition, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) maintains its position among the 150 best universities in the world (101-150 band), ranks in the 58-82 band in Europe and in the 3-6 band in Spain and stands out as the top Spanish technical university.

The Rankings are based on the same indicators as the THE’s World University Rankings, but the weightings have been adjusted to give less weight to reputation, which is linked to universities with a longer history, according to the publishers.
