Biography

Jordi Romeu is a full professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Industrial Engineering from the UPC. He teaches at the Terrassa School of Industrial, Aerospace and Audiovisual Engineering (ESEIAAT) on courses in solid mechanics, acoustics and vibrations, and coordinates the master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He coordinated the group Acoustic and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory from its inclusion in the Technological Innovation Network in 2002 until its integration in the specific research centre CATMech. His activity focused on research and transfer in acoustics and vibrations. He has supervised 14 doctoral theses and co-authored 55 articles in JCR journals. He participates in a total of 28 competitive research projects, 17 of which he is the principal investigator (PI), and 27 research contracts, 14 of which he is the PI. He also participates in 55 technology transfer contracts. He is a founding partner in the technology-based company AV Engineers. 
He was a head of section, the assistant director and the director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and has long been involved in the ESEIAAT’s governing council and other management bodies, such as the academic committees of several degrees and the quality committee.
