Measures adopted on 13 October for face-to-face teaching at the UPC extended until further notice

Considering the advice of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia and the Ministry of Health of the Government of Catalonia on provisionally implementing new measures on university campuses to control the COVID-19 infection rate, the UPC informs that the measures in place from 13 October are extended until further notice.

Nov 25, 2020

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) extends the measures adopted on 13 October and therefore teaching will continue to be conducted remotely until further notice. This does not affect research or practical activities. Mid-term assessments and exams will be done on site or online as determined by each school. From 23 November the libraries are open by appointment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 30 November opening hours will be extended (visit the Bibliotècnica website).

Remember that you need to justify mobility with the proof of employment/enrolment certificate from the UPC:

  • If you are a member of the teaching or administrative staff, download the proof of employment certificate from the Staff Portal, in the section Personal area > Employment relationship data > Contract documents.
  • If you are a student, download the enrolment certificate from the e-Secretaria.

Again, the measures agreed are not a consequence of a lack of safety in our classrooms; they respond to the need to limit to the greatest extent possible the mobility of university students.

We wish to thank the entire community for their efforts in flexibly adapting to the changes that the pandemic involves.

We will continue to keep you informed on the website and the usual communication channels.
