6- Submit your documents

IMPORTANT

If you need to renew the TIE card for an under-age relative who is dependent of you (age under 18 years old), please contact the OMI at the following email address: international@upc.edu

Please send your TIE renewal documents by e-mail to the OMI office (scanned or pictures of the documents), and we will check them before you submit them to the legal authorities. We will indicate you what is correct, what is not, what is missing, etc. We are at your disposal to assess you.

You must begin the procedure ONLINE, ELECTRONICALLY, WITH YOUR ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATE.

1- In order to do this, you must previously obtain a digital certificate.

2- In addition, before starting to submit your documents, you have to download and install in your computer or laptop the programme "Autofirma". You can download it here:
https://sedediatid.digital.gob.es/es-es/firmaelectronica/Paginas/AutoFirma.aspx

3- Once you have set up all this (digital certificate+Autofirma) in your computer or laptop, you will be able to start the online procedure to renew your TIE card. For this, you will have to enter in the following website of the Ministerio de Hacienda y Administraciones Públicas: https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/procedimientos/index/categoria/34

Through this link we put at your disposal a brief tutorial about how to submit your documents online and how to check later the status of your application for the TIE renewal. Please, follow the instructions of this tutorial, screen by screen. Thank you.

Attention

- Although you may have requested your digital certificate from your mobile phone and not from your laptop, the online process cannot be completed from a mobile phone; you must do it on a computer or laptop.

- We also inform that, in order to complete this electronic procedure, it is better to use a Windows computer than a MAC. MAC users have experienced significant difficulties and, in most cases, have been unable to successfully submit their documents online. They had to change to a Windows computer (laptop or desktop), installing there their digital certificate and the Autofirma program, in order to finally begin their TIE renewal online procedure.
